View Full Version : Sponsorship Opportunity

I am looking for 1 vehicle to sponsor this year using equipment from Atomic (head unit can be from JVC, Kenwood, Clarion, or Blaupunkt).

1. No, I am not going to give you FREE parts, but I will sell to you at cost.
2. You will be advertising for me, so be prepared to attend shows/events/meets/etc... with a clean looking vehicle. It does NOT have to be a show stopper, but it should be in good enough shape to be entered into a local car show.
3. The install labor is on me. The materials (Fiberglass, suede, carbon fiber, etc...) will be sold to you at my cost.
4. I expect a good resume and business proposal for why I should choose your vehicle and more importantly why I should choose you. A bad ass car means nothing without a competent person representing it. I will give you loyalty & support, I expect the same in return. I expect you to tell me which events you plan on attending, what your current mods are and why I should choose you over the countless other people who will apply for this.
5. I don't care what make/model/year your car is as long as it's in good shape.
6. Upon entering into a contract, the equipment is to remain in your vehicle for at least 1 full year before you sell it. This is not intended for you to make a quick buck on, this is an investment for both of us.
7. You control how elaborate of a system you want. I'm not going to force anyone to buy something they don't want....but I won't consider a system consisting of prefrabicated boxes and the lowest end equipment available either. IOW, it is still your car to do with what you like.

Email me and let me know why you should be chosen. sales@trafikjamz.com

Feel free to ask any questions about it in this thread.

Can you provide more info on the brand of product that you are wanting to use?

so how often would we have to buy product?, I may be selling the Z and getting a SN95 so itd be that id be putting money into, and what makes it an investment and how would you both benefit from it?

Trafik Jamz

Buy product 1 time. System would be installed in one shot (generally speaking) but can be added to at any time during the course of the year within reason.

What makes it an investment for me? Time, energy, advertisement, etc...are things that I expect a return of investment on.

What makes it an investment for you? It's your car, your time (showing), etc...in return you receive very high end product at the same price that I as an authorized dealer would pay....and you pay nothing for labor.

If the above doesn't make sense, don't bother applying.

Faber, you can find out more about Atomic at www.atomicspeakers.com they have been making speakers for others for many years (I wanna say since 1946?) and are a proven company. They are STILL made 100% in the USA, unlike many others who have cheaped out and gone to China/Korea for their products. One or both of my Subaru's will be getting an Atomic system installed.

Just so you know, if you dont have at LEAST $2k laying around to spare, your wasting your time

makes perfect sense. I will think about it, I highly doubt id be the best choice though due to cancer treatment, rehab of using a prosthetic...etc...etc...sounds like a great deal though, good luck to anyone who applies.

I am on the phone with Chuck and he says that is NOT the case Gary. He will be on later to further clarify.

so would we need to live close by year round? and how much would this set up run a guy?

KA-T_240
04-08-2009, 01:43 PM
Chuck, how would you compair these products to the other brands you sell? Not only in Sound quality, also in reliability, and cost.

Also, how much of a stereo are you looking to do?

Trafik Jamz
04-08-2009, 02:55 PM
Atomic is every bit as good as RE Audio (I'm dropping RE for this lineup, not because re's product sucks, but their dealer support is horrible) and the entry/mid Zapco stuff. I would also put it on par with Treo.

There is no price minimum on the system. If someone comes to me looking for a single 12 and 500 watts along with a decent pair of component speakers and a good amp for them, I'll consider it.

IOW I am willing to build a simple system that performs phenomonally OR I'm willing to do a balls to the wall full fiberglass interior for someone. I actually prefer simple however as it attracts a far more realistic target audience...cuz not everyone can/will buy an all out show system.

But yes, whoever I sponsor should live near here year round.

What about a high end SQ system that is lightweight and very clean.

Trafik Jamz
04-08-2009, 03:16 PM
No problem, I am not foreign to sq and would be happy to work those details out w/ whomever is selected.

I am proof of Chucks ability to do a SQ in a car. If you ever heard the Miata when I had it, you'd attest to it. For a convertable, it sounded great.

I'm pretty sure gary can back up wes's claim as well.

Didn't that sub you had weigh a ton though.

Just saying, with the $2k in disposable income. Not only are you buying the system, yes at cost, but buying a quality product none the less. Anything you would consider as "sponsorship" and not just a set of speakers is gonna run 800 i would think, any less is just a set of speakers really. Not only that, you are committing to shows, prep time, lots of cleaning for the shows, some travel, etc.etc. If you dont have $2k in disposable income i just dont see it as being a worthwile investment for chuck. Sure you can do a $4-500 sub and amp, but if I see a tJams sticker on a car i expect to see a pretty cool box, awesome speakers and a quality amp on a nice "showy" rack maybe with some lighting.

Trafik Jamz
04-08-2009, 06:13 PM
Excellent points gary. I guess I was refering to the equipment and materials.

Wes's last system w/ 2 8's in a vented fiberglass box was really lightweight. His 12 was a lil beefier, but still not a pig by any means.

Gary, you would be a great candidate for sponsorship... Local, well known, and you get around (at least that is what the stall in the bathroom said).... Lol. Seriously though I am open to any/all inquiries from everyone.

Meh, this is why I never got into car audio.

Showy racks and lighting are not my thing.

I'v been debating doing a light weight, stealthy SQ system in my TA for a long time now, but no one wants to see that, right?

Im not saying a huge molded in fiber rack with neons all around it, i was more thinking of just a nice clean install, but with a little flair, with an accent that draws your eyes to a quality amp with maybe a nice shallow switchable backlighting that complements the car. I would be interested in this of course, but i has no money to spend on it, not till later this summer anyway. I might hit you up with some ideas anyway, I have some good thoughts, we shall see

I may also be interested in doing a Zapco sponsorship instead. No I-Force products in that setup though, would have to be reference or higher series.

I would be all over this if I wasn't spending all my money on a paint job, rims, drag radials, and a new hood. after this I will be out of free cash.

Just because I argue the opposite side of the political spectrum doesn't mean the argument isn't top notch.

Depends on the customer, the car, and the customers budget.

So do they offer a five pound system?? I'll do 10 but then I'll have to lose 5 myself.

Trafik Jamz
04-09-2009, 07:57 PM
not likely bill... I tell you what, i'll find a 20lbs system and get you in touch with Faul who will advise you not to find one spot to save 20lbs but rather to look for 320 spots to save an ounce.

Trafik Jamz
04-09-2009, 10:36 PM
Just to reiterate what I said before...the decision is more based on what you will do for me than how cool your car is. Remember, no matter what you pay for the gear, the total install will be valued at at least 200% higher than what you will end up paying....so I have a pretty big investment I'm making in you. Nothing is free, you will earn what I provide for you.

A couple of other things I'm asking for:

picture(s) of your vehicle, an idea of what your idea of your ideal system is, and I guess a budget. Be honest about the budget part, a low number won't get you disqualified, but lying and saying you have more to spend than you do won't help either of us.

Are you wanting to have the money upfront before anything will be done? or is it possible to do like a payment plan deal? or just do certain things at a time?

Trafik Jamz
04-15-2009, 01:09 PM
I'd be willing to let you buy the equipment piece by piece...but nothing gets installed until the entire system is here and I keep possession of it until then. If you cannot/will not complete the system, you will have the option to purchase the equipment at my normal pricing, otherwise the equipment shall be mine and your deposit on the equipment will be relinquished. IOW, I don't want people getting 1/2 way through, running out of money and then selling off the equipment that I provided to them. If these are terms that you can deal with, I'm willing to do it this way. Otherwise, I do offer financing....call up Visa/Mastercard and tell them you want to apply for a credit card. After you have received the card call me up and I'll process the card for your order.

Yes, I know I sound like a dick above, but I've been bit by good intentioned people too many times.
