Photoshop is just like 25x more complex then Elements...
It wasn't meant for general consumer use really... hence its high price tag.

You take your image in to Photoshop;
Image/
Adjustments/
Color balance or contrast, or brightness any of those will help you achieve the look you want. :)

no way am i competant with elements or PS, but from what i have read you need to know how to do layers and or mask layers. then use gaussian blur to blur.
i use elements as i could afford 100 for elements but not 600 for photoshop.
from what i read it is not terribly hard to do, but will take some practice to get good at it.

It seems like 2 seperate images layerd on top of each other
1. The car
2. the city in the back ground and the bridge it self
and then messed with seperatly
ill mess around with it and see if i can duplicate the effects

There has only been one person to go to prison for Software Piracy, and he distributed literally millions of copies of software...

You use the magic tool to select just the background, since the background's color is completely different then the car. After selecting the background, use blur. To get the diffuser to be light like that, use the blending tool, and blend it with the color of the road.

This is pretty close to the 330i image. Photoshop CS2: I used the magic wand to select everything, except the car, then used motion blur. Of course the wheels are not spinning, so that takes away the realisticity of the image.

I thought you were talking about the color, lol.
If you want the blur affect I would stick the car on another layer then just motion blur the back ground in the direction of travel.
Nah its hard to explain, like in magzines and photos on the internet of models, they make thier skin look like it almost glows and its really smooth etc...
I dont' knwo do you know what I mean?

I think i know what you mean and i have tried playing with the "Filter" (like paint daubs) options on photoshop i believe with some tweaking you could get that glow as
PS. long as you start of with a decent pic of you car in the right light and clean as shit

I think i know what you are trying to say. Removing noise will make pictures very smooth.

Kinda but despeckle blurs the picture so much...
The effect i'm talking about makes it look like it was almost painted realistically?

Part of it is that the orignal picture was taken while moving, so that really adds to the effect.

Jim, if you want to remove imperfections from say a car or a model, give it a matte like finish, you can mess with hue/saturation, brightness/contrast, and levels. I cant tell you exactly how much, thats gotta be up to you and the picture.
I would play around with brightness/contrast first, then levels, and finally hue/saturation if need be.
T ! N for that picture if you want the wheels to look like they are turning, select around the tire/wheels and go to blur and radial blur.

Anyone know how to make it look like you can see the engine with the hood shut, or seeing through parts, examples such as superstreet shoots, and this http://www.honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1398104 its like the fourth one down

That could probably be achieved if you had the camera on a stationary point and took 1 pic with the hood open and 1 with it closed, then just put the closed on top and erase part of it and blend it so the engine bay shot shows through.

Pretty sure I know what you are saying...I think that you are talking about airbrushing. And I am certain that there was some sort of that going on in that picture you posted. BTW...very cool photo, where did you find that Jim?

if no one answered your question then i will
its a simple adjustment of contrast/brightness with a blurred, or motion blurred background
so use the pen tool to select the car then adjust the brightness/ and or contrast of the car then hit reverse selection and just do a simple motion blurr or normal blurr on the background.....
simple
