i just got photoshop cs2 and i have no idea what im doin. can someone give me a little advice to get started... just some basics

Open photoshop, click "Help".

Best way to learn it is to try it out, figure out what everything does.. Questions? Open the help, but try opening images, read tutorials, etc..

Do a google search for photochop tutorials.... you'll get a ton. Im doing that for Flash and the site Im using has tutorials for all kinds of programs. Next up is illustrator.
