You guys are all chasing a dream you can't reach....beating my times. LOL. No, I don't really know what the Shane is up to with his STI, so I can't comment on that. Jeremy's car will be fast if you guys actually geting it going and get everything working right together...which takes time. GSR's car should move if he ever gets it together. Joe and Kirk's cars should both be quick, but probably not the fastest 4 bangers on fargostreet.. Tjamz...is he going to race that thing this year? ;) Lastly...Kevin...I am just going to assume you aren't going to have that thing running by July? But, that thing will fly too if all goes well.

I guess it all comes down to which one of you guys actually gets their shit together for the year. Only time will tell!!

Lack of boost control and EMS cheapness cost me a lot of ET last year. Turns out I fixed that now. ;)

I ran 11.2 w/ a 1.9 60ft on the rev limiter in 1st gear.... Car last year weighed 2450 + my fat ass as well, so 2700 lbs. Not really that light...

All-motor 4bangers have been known to hit 10s :) so they are out there.. but in the area? Not too sure, but I know I was reading on Mnneons.org, about 13-second screamers that have No F/I or n2o :icon_sunny: which is faster than some V8s at the track
But... You won't see that too often, since it's a more $$$ route to go vs. F/I or adding n2o..

Yeah, Ben has Race Bread, but it's not running.

And last time I heard Eric mention drag racing, he said he's shooting for 12's.

Mine don't run (I won't be here to race anyways, going to England all summer, so perhaps I'll slip in a race at the tail end of the season)

and Nate's don't run either.

So yeah, Eric is the sole 240SX rep for GF right now, as far as 4 bangers are concerned.

There are guys on Honda-tech running 9's with N/A single cams! Bisimoto ran 9.97 at over 135mph with an F series last month.

The guy goes low 11's last year with no suspension/traction bars to speak of and and a pretty peaky power curve. He picked up just a bit more peak horsepower this year, but added a lot of power under the curve. The GSR should undoubtedly be easier to drive fast...throw on a drag geared suspension and I think its definitely the most capable car out there.

On another note, I expect my car to see 12's all-motor, I realize that's not blistering fast by any means...but it's a start.

Nick is at the point now where HP isn't going to get him into the 10's. IMHO, 700whp and his current setup would net him the same times. If he wants to go quicker it's going to be all about his suspension setup. Being it's a drag car I'd like to see unstreetable spring rates, zero deflection bushings, and a x-member that you could pull a house down with...that is what is going to make or break Nicks car this year.

Well I put suspension in at the end of last year. JIC FLT-A2s, 12k fronts, 14k rears. It rides like a brick shithouse now. As far as this year, traction bars are on the way as soon as they come off of backorder, and boost control will no longer be my right foot.

If you look at my passes last year, Tuftes hatchback was .2 faster in the 60ft, .3 faster @ 330ft, and only .1 slower @ the 1/8 mile. Yet after that it was .7 to .9 slower in the 1/4 mile. I'll get all of that taken care of this year so that doesn't happen, as well as having another 150 hp on top of what I had last year hopefully.
