<![CDATA[Does anyone know what the punishment for this violation is]]>Has anyone ever had a speed/care required ticket before? I got one tonight along with John (Ridinrails) Cops didnt shoot us with radar but saw that we were speeding/going to fast and pulled us over. Anyways we both got these tickets for $100, but what im curious about is does this ticket take away points or go to your insurance company? Or is it like a tint/muffler/liscense plate ticket where you pay the fine and thats it? The cops made it sound like it was just like the tint ticket kinda, im just wondering? They said they were Citations only if that means anything. All help is greatly appreciated.

I was driving just a little over the speed limit on 25th and a cop pulled me over and said he was goign to give me a ticket for speeding but didn't have it on his radar how fast I was actually was going, So he wrote up that ticket like you got, I told him I wouldn't take it and he was full of crap. After a brief arguement, they arrested me from refusing to take the ticket. I stat a night in jail, and then the next day they let me go and dropped the ticket.

Thats how I fight tickets I don't want, sofar its worked when I when I knew I could get out of them, faught a couple loud exhaust tickets like that and a street racing ticket, and got them dropped.

If they have them on, they have the right of way all the time. If they don't they need to follow the same rules as everyone else. Good luck John.

Its $60 and 2 points. But like I said before, it will transfer over into Minnesota as a careless driving.

The cop said he seen us FLYYY by him on 1st ave.....we turned from main ave to university...and hit a stop light at 1st ave.....so theres no way we flew by him.....then we proceeded to drive all the way to taco bell on south university...which is like 23rd ave s.....so thats like what 2 miles probably? and he never pulled us over....but all 3 cops did pull into the parking lot right after we did....so if we were going way over the speed limit when we went by them....how fast were they going to catch us.....i think they need a speed/care required ticket too then.

He went to court to fight it but he lost. As for the points and what not i dont know. They seem pointless to fight cuz its your word vs. the cop. Cop will win.....my suggestion is to just pay.

may drive any vehicle upon a highway in a manner to endanger the life, limb, or property of any
person.
