I also know a retired machinist from there that can make practically anything, from the tar wagon the city uses down to a completely homemade black powder pistol, which he machined every part from scratch.

Like maybe he hadn't showered in a spell.

The wait time didn't sound fun, and mostly, I think they are into bigger stuff that doesn't have any wires attatched. I will look a bit more. Maybe they'll have to do. We'll see!

u joints are easy to install though, so I'd just do it myself.

sorry the machine shop deal didnt work out.

I dont know of anybody else who has a lathe, at least nobody else that ive ever used.

N just west of 27th st. The guy there was really helpfull and since I had to go get the fuel hose myself, he charged me a grand total of 2 dollars. What a guy.

Then I went to thurlows and that is not the place to get small, custom lathe work done, I'd rather buy a lathe myself than take something there. I'm sure they've done plenty of good work, but the guy who I talked to was all shakey and dirty as hell. Maybe I'd take my driveshaft there for some spicer joints, maybe.... if I wanted to wait 3 weeks.

So, I need to find a place that is open minded and creative when it comes to customizing car parts. Anyone have a lathe I can borrow for like 30 minutes?
