<![CDATA[internet connection?]]>ok prolly a stupid question but i reformatted my computer and i cant figure out how to set up an internet connection directly to the router, i mean with the wire and all. right now im just using my wireless card wich has a shity ass connection

is there any one that could walk me through it or point me in the right direction?

if your network card has a yellow (!) next to it, you probably need a driver for it.

another way to check what's going on

start->run->"ipconfig /all"

you'll see an entry for "wireless network adaptor" with a valid ip address (something like 192.168.x.x or 10.x.x.x). If your wired NIC is working you'll also see "Local Area Network Connection 1" or something like that. If you don't see it, there's a device problem. if you do see it, the device is being seen but not used/configured. If you see it, and it also has an IP address, but you think something is still wrong, then we'll need more informatino to be helpful.
