There are not many depts/lea's out there that have radar equipment that requires tuning forks anymore, most of the better funded depts, and certainly HP has 'self' calibrating equipment, that is most newer radar units have a button you press and the gun tunes itself, wether it is with a tone generator or otherwise.

My post was not to get anyones panties in a twist, now i realize there were some better ways to go about the convorsation with this officer, but... i know for a fact i was not doing 89 or 90 and i watched the asshat behind me run up on me at a rediculos speed. baisically i got ticketed for someone elses lead foot.

Most law enforcement officers do calibrate before each shift and after each stop. They also receive ongoing training throughout their careers on how to use all of their equipment. But, it doesn't hurt to ask in court.

But its not up to you, how much of an inconvience is a seatbelt really? On the ticket side thats kinda gay but you'll get nowhere fighting it unless you have video tape of the other car pulling up on you. Trust me I fought one my word against a cops and lost miserably.

i once passed a cop that was doing the speed limit and i was maybe doing 2 miles over the speed limit and i got pulled over! it was gay as aids!!!
