It's just the different branches....In the Air force, we called the restroom the latrine, the marines call it the head...they all have different wordings...

Coincidently my dad just retired from the AF and my mom has been retired for over a year. Both in the AF... mom outranked dad by a tad... she retired as a full bird colonel.
