Have not had time to check if the amp actually does not work.</p>

Fix: Replace fuse</li>
<li>Short inside box with speaker wiring (pos &amp; neg touching)<br />
Fix: Remove woofers and make sure all connections are good on terminal cup, and terminals on woofer...make sure no strands of wires are touching</li>
<li>Short outside box at terminal or amp (pos &amp; neg touching)<br />
Fix: Check terminal cup and amplifier to see if any pos and neg wires are touching</li>

<p dir="auto">There have been a few instances where the fuse that comes with the power wire is defective from the start.  I would replace the fuse (even if it looks good, just spend the $3) in the fuse holder under the hood and see if that helps.  I have other suggestions, but before I get to them let me ask you this...  does the amp turn on (power light comes on)?  Does the amp ever go into 'protection'?  How old are the subs?  Answer those and we can try a few different things.  I'd start with a new fuse up front (again if it looks ok, that doesn't mean anything...It appears the fuse makers are sucking as of lately)...</p>
