<p dir="auto">And some tips for ANYONE that lives in a apartment building, if you have valuable things in your car and park in a garage, do this, when you walk into your apartment at night go to the electric box and turn off the power to your garage, that way no one can get it open by crossing the wires.</p>

<p dir="auto">Short of that, you could do what I did when I was apartment dwelling and we had a lot of garage break-in's with the same MO.</p>
<p dir="auto">The thieves are able to get in because once they pop the key-openner off, the wires that are attached to the back come out with it.  What I did, and ultimately everyone in my complex did, was to secure those wires inside the garage.  That way, should someone pry the openner off, the wires will disconnect from the back because you've nailed them down inside.  Without any slack to those wires, they can't be crossed as they disconnect when the thief pulls on the openner, falling inside the garage, unable to be retrieved....and the thiefs just move onto the next garage.  I also replaced those cheap nails that hold the openner to the garage with screws (or better yet, nuts and bolts) because they won't take that much time to unscrew them.  The nails are much easier and quicker to remove.</p>

<p dir="auto">And I'm glad they caught them and hope you get your stuff back.  If you find out who the people were, I'd sure be interested in knowing some names....</p>
