I for one thought it was a great movie and Heath did an outstanding job relaying the Jokers dark humor and could give two shits attitude and I think it's safe to say, that even thought the movie was titled "The Dark Knight", the Joker was the real main character in this film . It's just too bad that Heath won't be around for a sequel.

Absolutely not, great performances all around, fantastic script, and Ledger's joker while he may have used the others before him as inspiration his performance was very very good. Its a great movie despite being an action flick, the subtlety of Batman's actions in the movie gets back to the darkness of the comic book character, he will do the things cops will not because he is not one. That is what the character was from the beginning. The old TV show kind of wrecked that, the first two movies tried to show it but missed the mark, despite being the best batman movies until now. And the next three were total failures even though they had massive star power. Calling that performance by Heath hype is just asinine, Oscar worthy? I don't know but he nailed what the joker is supposed to be, and made me want to see what else he was capable of. He had become so much more than a pretty face, and his acting got better with each performance, culminating in this version of the joker.

I figured people would make it out to be a bigger deal than it was.

I was dead wrong. His performance was amazing, simple as that. Any awards he gets are going to be due to his acting, not him killing himself.

I'm super stoked to go to this flick. I just went into the west acres theater and asked when the next showing on the Ultra Screen was. I got my ticket for free too, Wal Mart was selling copies of Batman Begins for $10 and it had a coupon in it saweet.

It seems like Keith is trying to draw off of Jacks version of the joker, that's not a bad thing though. I hear the scarecrow makes a quick cameo in this film as well.

Also, on a side note, has anybody seen Batman: Gotham knight? It's animated but it's pretty much for Batman what the Animatrix was for the Matrix. If your a Batman fan you might want to check it out.
