I've been thinking about switching to Sprint because their plans are overall cheaper than alltel. Who here uses Sprint? How does it compare to say Verizon or Alltel? I go back to Williston every 2-3 weeks and by looking at the coverage map on their website, it looks like I'll be roaming (free with the plan I'm looking at). I'm currently looking at the BlackBerry Curve 8330 with the Everything Data plan.

What is everyone's opinion on Sprint? Good and bad, I want to hear it.

Yeah i saw that article. I doubt that they are selling Alltel to AT&T. Didn't see that anywhere...all i saw was that in order to get it approved 100% by the FCC (which has already happened) is that they have to get rid of assets in 100 areas, and all that is going around is speculation. There has been no report from Verizon regarding anything in that matter.

Shit, and they don't even really need to sell those assets to begin with, all that was was a couple of state attorneys saying they will take them to court if they don't do that...its not a must.

Data seems to be kind of inconsistent with Sprint(I use it literally all day, M-F)

If u get no roaming plan u should be good though... I also get shitty coverage back home when i'm at my parents, or anywheres out fishing and stuff... Otherwise I dont mind it

I have a couple of dead spots on highway 2 as well so that isn't a big deal to me. Alltel is still more expensive as is Verizon. I plan on going to sprint today and talking to them. Thanks again for the help!

Get coverage, largest 3g network, fair prices, good phones, good customer service. Hell, you know there doing something right when they buy up shittier companies and become the largest wireless carrier in the nation.

Sprint is pretty decent if you only ever plan on using your phone in cities. Otherwise good luck getting service.
