<![CDATA[Who wants some DirecTv?]]>So i have decided to get rid of my DirecTv account, due to my new apartment having free cable. However, i am still under contract until 2011 (apparently), and they want to charge me $400 to get rid of it.

When i called DirecTV they said that i can transfer my account to a new account holder. Currently i pay around $60-$65 a month, under the promotional rate. That rate should last for about 4 more months, then it will go up to around $75-$80 a month.

So i am giving my account away for free

Included:

High Definition DVR
High Definition Dish

The DVR alone is a $200 item that you would have to buy separate if you were to be a first time subscriber.

If they charge anything for installing it, i will pay it.

The account would stay in my name, but i would add whoever would want it as the authorized user on the account. The entire setup would transferred to where you live, and you would pay the bills.
