My hard drive has no sata connection on it and thats all the new motherboard has so i'm assuming i need a adapter from the 39pin ribbon to sata or something?? can anyone confirm this for me OR find the adapter online or around here?? Thanks!!</p>

This is from experience,  the adapters do work,  but not terribly reliably,  the ones i have used would have troubles working sometimes on boot up,  others they would work and randomly quit in the middle of working on something.</p>

Get a sata hard drive and an external cage for your IDE drive if there is stuff you need off it.</p>
