Its a fairly small turbo thats going to be on a stock dseries.

I don't think it really matters what you do with it, because if it is like any of your other projects, it will never actually get finished.......

wouldnt it technically spool up a little sooner being as the housing is technically smaller than a single scroll? just wouldnt flow as much?

depends on the turbine housing, and the motor, manifold, dp, etc.

but the divided turbo's can get away with running larger a/r turbine housings, sense the velocity is kept higher due to the divided manifold, and the split pulse helps spool alot.

will putting a divided turbo on a non- divided work YES, should you do it. um no.

want a cheap as shit divided manifold. do this.

take a factory z6 header cut the flange off the bottom section and weld runners to a turbo flange up above the header. there you go a divided top mount for dirt cheap.

maybe port the turbo ?

How well do cast turbine housing take to porting? I don't feel like ruining a perfectly good housing cause its divided.

Just do it, its only going to spool a littler later and not make as much power. As that 'bar' is in the way just acting as resistance.

Thats what I was thinking but wouldn't the exhaust gases pretty much split evenly between the scrolls even tho the manifold isn't a twin scroll?
