That's only happening when they update the firmware from 1.11 to 1.19. It's something in the cal conversion I think. Just don't update the firmware until you're on the dyno ready to tune?

EPROM burner. Obviously thats last resort, after speaking with AEM. I don't think he even has a map saved anymore.

I found a bunch of instances of not being able to connect on the forums and most of them were solved with the EPROM chip not being seated well enough.

Mitch said something about you having to downgrade the firmware to get it to work before? It is on old firmware v1.11, but came with v1.03. I downloaded the newest version of AEMPro, and will try to give that a shot today. Then see what AEM has to say.

Should clarify too that the car has had the AEM for 2-3 years, so he has connected to it before.

As for what he's using to connect, look at the first post. "tried two different laptops, three different installs of pro, serial and usb ports..." aka he has a laptop with a serial port, as well as a usb to serial adaptor that has worked before.

We checked the PROM chip as well, but it seemed snug still. If all else fails, I do have a burner to reburn the firmware, but then we are SOL with ZERO maps for the car.
