Most likely a broken solder joint in the BGA.

The motherboard flexes when it gets hot, which will cause a disconnect, and then once it cools down will re seat itself.

You will most likely see the red lights again after a while, or will start to notice wierd freezing issues and such.

See I figured this was somebody askin if there was anyway to fix his 3 rings of death or whatever. If I was aware that you repaired them I wouldnt have posted in here.
