Idk, they just never appealed to me. But you probably are right with the proper set up. Because every one i know that have had Sony's new nothing about car audio, they just bought it at the store cuz they wanted subs and that's what they picked. And ya every sub is capable of quiet a bit so i am sure my opinion could change pretty quickly if i heard it with a nice set up. ( I use to be very biased and wouldn't buy anything but JL or Rockford cuz that's what the brother and sister had, you know. But after dealing and talking with chuck and i am growing out of all that. Why havnt you cared for sony subs? Youd be surpised by a properly set up system. For what they were my sonys bumped hard.
