I am wiring my cutoff but need to know what will be legal....

per NHRA rules it says it "must kill all electrical functions"

this is how my car is wired right now.....

Is this legal since the large gauge wire to the starter and alt. are not on the switch?? It kills all my functions on the car as is and kills the car.....

I mean do i need to bring the alternator wire all the way back to the battery and then have the large wire to the starter on the switch??

ALL I NEED TO KNOW IS IF THE PICTURE I POSTED IS NHRA LEGAL WITHOUT ANY DOUBT!!

ha thanks guys

The alternator must be isolated as well. All Power must be cutoff to the entire car to be legal. Your diagram will also kill the battery even with the kill switch turned off if a single wire alternator is used.

Here is a PDF with pretty good wiring for a race car.

I guess if they give me a hard time i will either have to change to a duel circuit switch or add a alternator kill solenoid

easy to do now since i have the alt wire at the rear now

this is what i ended up with, it is a flaming river switch.... I ran short of 6 ga. by 2ft for the alternator lead
