<![CDATA[NEED a 2.3 engine for a 2004 Mazda 3]]>My brother-in-law's 2004 Mazda 3 engine just blew. We can turn the engine over by hand about a half-turn forward and a half-turn backward, then it stops HARD. Timing chain is intact. Probably broken rod or something. Not good. Only 60k mi and has been driven nicely, so not sure why this happened.

So I NEED a used 2.3L I4 engine for a 2004 Mazda 3 (manual). I haven't looked yet at what years are interchangeable, but I'm guessing the Mazda 6 with the 2.3 is the same engine.

Plz contact me if you know of any 2.3's out there.
