<p dir="auto">Can anyone offer some information about these models, or this type of device?  Upsides, downsides, anything?</p>

Naively, I would have assumed that they're backwards compatible with slightly reduced performance.</p>

<p dir="auto">None of these will work with current standards today.</p>
<p dir="auto">They are all DOCSIS 1.0 and 1.1... Most cable companies use 2.0 and 3.0 today.</p>
