302s cheaper with basic mods. 5.7s and T56s aren't the cheapest. 5.3s aren't to bad.

And idk how much more does a v8 weigh 50 pounds? If this is the mustang i think it is i had an old exploder that i beat it with when i was like 15 lol. My snowmobile puts out over 150hp/liter does that mean he should throw a 2 stroke in there? No you can have 150hp/liter but still ONLY have 150 hp. They made the v6 mustang for a reason to sell cars to women.

I agree with Heath. I mean if you wanna do this just to be different I guess I respect that but if you want to be truely fast I don't think dumping money into the 3.8 is the way to do it. Especially if you're young and don't have much money to spare. You'll end up dropping a huge chunk of change to be running 13's when you coulda spent the same amount or less and be running 10's

this generation of 3.8L not so much.

I did have an old friend run mid 13s with ported heads and a Vortech (and a few other things) in a 3.8L Thunderbird.

The other option is a 4.3L stroker build based off the 4.2L truck V6. Back when I was following the Thunderbird crowd a little more those were starting to become more popular.

Im on there everyday. In fact, theres a thread called "North Dakota" where theres a few of us with stangs in the area. Most will be willing to help ya do the swap on cams or engine too!

yes my car would loose but you get the point. LOL i joke im hoping to get some cams and headers in my car next summer when i get some cash and people would laugh at that but its your car do what you want. Those 3.8 are supprisingly potent from what i have seen.
