It will be a tiered system with:

2GB for $30/mo
5GB for $50/mo
10GB for $80/mo

If you don't already have a smartphone and want to go with Verizon, now is the time. I'm uncertain if you already have an unlimited plan whether if you upgrade phones past July 7th if you'll be affected or not.

I have 2 androids (Evo and Epic) on my account and pay just over $120 with tax for the 2 lines. Additional non-smartphone is $9.99/month extra....smart phone is $19.99 on the "everything data family plan".

FWIW, when dealing with Sprint (especially at the kiosk at the mall) you ALWAYS work for a Chrysler Dealership. Automatic 23% discount and you typically aren't required to prove anything...and if you are required to you tell them that you are new to Corwins and don't have a biz card yet.

What's even worse is that in several areas around the country, ISP's are starting to do tiered data as well rather than speed restrictions. Stupid.

I just talked to a VZW rep who told me that if I were to add the unlimited data to my current plan (non-smartphone, not eligible to upgrade til July 25) that I would then be grandfathered in when I upgrade the phone later this month. So FWIW, if you ever plan on doing unlimited data and using tons of it, might be worthwhile to upgrade early so you are grandfathered in.

I generally have better service side by side with my Verizon personal phone than Sprint work phone. Data is spotty sometimes too. I have a ton of issues in buildings with Sprint too. It could be my phone, it's a blackberry, but I had similar issues with the last phone I had as well.
