I know there are quite a few "drifters" and drag racers on here who may need new shafts built or their old ones repaired(straightened/new joints and yokes). Me and a couple guys recently took over management/ownership of Dakota Driveline(formerly Thurlow's Welding and Machine shop). I can do anything from a simple replacement of a u-joint to machining out the old yokes and re-tubing. We carry moly tubing and Spicer joints to ensure once its in it will most likely outlast the life of your race car/mud truck/personal vehicle.

If you have any questions or need any work done call or text me at 701-541-1876, or call 701-282-2484. You can also swing by the shop at 3820 3rd Avenue north anytime Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm although we are usually here from 7am to usually around 8pm.

Thanks guys,
I hope you can do a better job at getting thing's done in a timely matter over the previous management. Are going to be able to build and modify Aluminum driveshaft's?

We can, it all depends on what you want done. We cant heat straighten the tubes but we can replace joints and balance them. I generally recommend new steel or moly shafts to those with aluminum ones though. Aluminum is too easy too wreck, I have seen several shafts come in that are beyond repair because of rocks, speed bumps, etc.

And in response to your comment about getting things done, yes. We took over and within 2 weeks we were completely caught up with the work that was on the shelves. As long as there arent 8 shafts on the rack before yours we can usually have it back to you within a day as long as we dont have to order parts from outside sources.

Heck yes we are. We usually knock out 3 or 4 a week.
