<![CDATA[insurance company]]>well, this summer my parents are making me go out on my own for car insurance. i was just curious what some of you guys pay on vehicles? i would like your monthly or 6 month insurance is please specify, what your driving record is like, what kinda car you drive, how many cars are insured, and of course the company name. please only give me your quote if you are on your own insurance and not with parents. thank you guys in advance.

Have $500 deductable, rental car insurance, multiple line discount, good student discount. Lost both my new business discount (wasn't much, maybe 5%) and my steer clear discount which was 15% because of my accident and speeding ticket this spring. Both happened within a month of each other. All in all, my insurance only went up $50 over my 94 civic ex I was driving. Oh, I am 22 now, and have been insured by State Farm, Mike Sterlings office since I was 14. I have never paid more than $98 on a car. I was at a total of $125 3 years ago with my Tsi and Tracer I was driving at the time. Only the Tsi had full coverage. Civic had full coverage which was $78 for the first 2 years owning it, then it dropped to $48 when I turned 21. My first car was $60 a month for just liability, same with the second and third (tracer was the third, and that was before I got the talon).

wasnt getting my hopes up too high.. but id really love to get an RS/WRX.. so i figured id try. 😛

I just kept the lower deductable and I pay a bit more. my last three accident have all been deer, I paid a $100 deductable. That's through Farmers union. I live at home but pay my own insurance but because I do live at home I get a family discount. Mines varies between $195-$215 every 2 months. I still have few point on my license though. Should be getting down there though. I lost my license for a whole two weeks, the timing was right so I got a point back two weeks after I lost it. If I remember right you get one back every six months if you keep a clean driving record in between.

2 speeding tickets, and 1 street racing ticket... 1 of the speeding tickets was almost 5yrs ago so its going to be going off my record soon.

And I checked it out and my insurance company doesnt show the street racing ticket or the other speeding ticket... must be because they were in ND and I live in MN or something, but the street racing was over a year ago.

I really really need a different insurance company or something because $240 a month on insurance is more than I have ever heard of anyone paying... even some guys I work with have DUIs with full coverage and dont pay as much as me.

Oh and I have no accidents... so whats up with that?

I average .75 tickets per year (over last 4 years) and no accidents that were my fault (hit and run). Granted I'm a bit older than most of you and own a house so I get multi-line/married/old-guy insurance. I checked a while back for insurance on JUST my wrx through Progessive and Geico...both were well over $120/month. So, in my opinion, they suck ass. I've never gotten a cheaper quote than through local agents (state farm, american family, etc....all good, and good people to work with)

How? Do you have a really high deductible...like $10,000? Is the insurance through your parents? I have a tough time beleiveing that a male at your age with an accident can pay less than $100 a month for full coverage on a sports car.....I would have guessed $175ish 😕
