<![CDATA[Bluish/pruple second gen probe?? heavy rice content...]]>yeah, so i was working the other day and happened upon a bluish-purplish extremely riced out probe. It had a fart can exhaust and about 15 gauges mounted in the pilars.

I passed him and looked at him because i thought it might be someone I know, and well you know how ricers are kind of like mean dogs? never make eye contact with them? yeah, douchebag started tail gaiting me and reving his engine, then got in the lane next to me and did the same shit all over again. wowo, you're cool.

I thought "o.k., so maybe its a turbo and has some go with the show" but then realized that the muffler was aftermarket and had about a 2" opening, not a turbo exhaust. and I have NO idea what the hell he needed all of the gauges for, maybe to monitor the state of his fart-can and body kit, who knows.........

anyone know this tool?

and if its someone on this board, you need to grow up and not try and race every car on the street. oh, and your car is probably slower from the added weight of the body kit and all those shit gauges you put all over it! lol

2nd Gen Probe GTs have a 2.5 Liter V6.

The dual feed fuel setup that pin mentioned helps insure even fuel distribution. 2nd Gens are plauged with factory side feed injectors the are fed in series, causing the 5th and 6th cylinders to run lean when extra fuel is required (F/I or Nitrous applications). Splitting the pressure side and combining the return helps equalize fuel pressure to the injectors. There are a few GT owners that I know of that run dual A/F gauges to make sure that both banks of the motor are running sequentially. When I wire my fuel computer I plan might wire in both O2 sensors to monitor/log both banks of the motor when I am not running my wideband.

I don't know the individual who owns the car and haven't had a good look at the car or its modifications. Based on the appearance of the car and behavior of the driver I am led to believe most is probably fluff. Oh well, there is your 2nd Gen Probe edumication for the day.

I took a look at it the last time I was at Interstate Dragways, and I noticed wrapped headers and possibly a fuel line modification to improve the fuel distribution. A lot of people do what's known as a "dual feed" modification to the fuel rails as #6 gets short-changed a bit. If he has a nitrous setup, I didn't notice that.

He came to me last week wonding if I can fix his belt squeal, but since his body kit is completely shaved into the car, there was no way we could have lifted it up to do anything at all. Just looking under the hood, it looked like he had some nitrous or somthing, he also had the toggle switch in it too. He is selling it. It is more of a deep purple with hood pins. runs like shit.
