I have a PS2 right now, and of course a computer. I wanted to get some suggestions on good racing games. I love GT3, and I actually have already played GT4 (pirated version). It looks pretty good and there has been lots of work and additions since I got GT4. I also wanted to warn everyone about Racing Evolution. That game is not what I expected. It has alot of features, but the gameplay just sucks. So, is there any other good racing games for PS2 that you guys know about?

My dad has a fire bird he got for $600 bucks and put a oldsmobile 455 with a custom transmission in it. A vary fun fast cheep car. Runs 12s and it cost him around $1500.

To be perfectly honest, he just bought the Volare about a week ago for like $600 from a lady who was selling it for her son who didn't want it anymore. I knew the guy that had it before, he (the previous owner) actually got the motor for like $100 out of some old late 60's POS car at an auction sale. To his surprise the car started right up and had no compression problems so he pulled the motor and swapped it into his Volare and had ultimate sleeper.

My dad is really lucky when it comes to finding deals, he bought a 1971 Challenger w/ a 383 w/ triple 2 barrels for $1000...that car is now sporting a Dana 44 rearend and runs on alcohol. Too bad he never races/lets me race it.

Earthbound is one of my favorite games. I managed to nab a copy a couple years ago in a used games bin. Totally fun and doesn't follow the "usual rpg format"

I would loooove to have an NES or SNES in my car. With people putting PS2s in their new cars it would look cool to have a game system matching the car from about the same years. Like an NES in my '87....

p.s. I also find it very funny that one of the biggest and busiest threads on a car forum is about video games.

As for the fargostreet LAN, who else would be interested? If we can get 10+ peeps interested then let's do this. I can get space at the multiband complex where I use to work (when it was corp tech at a different building, still got friends there) and provide all the equipment (cabling, server, etc) Only one terminal computer will be allowed access though (I monitor network traffic tightly) and before you bring your computer, please use AVG antivirus (its free go to http://www.grisoft.com) and Adaware/bazooka before you plug into the network.

Just give me a heads up.
