<![CDATA[99 eclipse GS problems]]>My GF has an automatic 99 Eclipse GS.

Every now and then after some harder driving transmission goes weird dosen't want to shift. Check engine light comes on. She has been turning off the car letting it sit a minute turning it back on and it runs fine until she beats on it again. Any ideas?

Not lookin for smart ass remarks just wanted a little insight from someone who may have had the problem or is more mechanically inclined then i am.
