You can get Lt1 fbodys cheap these days and even 98 and 99 Ls1 fbods are going cheap. You can buy any one of these fbodys and spend less money than you would on the swap.

If you want details on the swap you can pm me. I know 94ndta also knows alot about 4th gens too.

The trans is weaker than a standard 4l60E (4 clutch packs vs 5 in the v8 version) Plus, I don't know if the 3.4's had posi's or not.

If you do decide to do it, I have a low low mileage (26K miles) 1994 4L60E out of a trans am, perfect running condition that I will sell for $350.

It all depends on how much you want out of it. I wouldn't want to do more than 350hp out of tbi. Tranny bolts right up but I would at least kit the 4l60 if not rebuild and shift kit.

You can get a low milage LS1 with an auto trans for ummmm i want to say 3500$ and you can get an lt1 Long block for about 1200$ they are all over the place. The only reason i have not moved on to an LS1 is how expensive aftermarket parts are as for the LT1 i hate the opti crap shit (opti spark) As for the swap it's probably as easy ever see or do.

I'm pulling the engine out of my truck. It runs great but the trailer I'm going to be pulling is pretty heavy, so I'm finally putting my built engine. The one in there is out of a 94 truck f.i. great for a swap!!!
