I know people like hjermstad used to get owned almost weekly with tint tickets with his 5% tint. Post up your tint % and how many times (if any) you've been pulled over FOR tint or have had it brought up/questioned/tested as a result of some other traffic violation...FM area incidences only please!</p>

I've heard several people getting crap from state patrol however. I rarely drive on the interstate.</p>

I was pulled over every once in a while but never got hassled in Texas or up here. On my Suburban I have factory tint, I'd say it's around 50% on the 2 rear roll downs and the back doors, I got pulled over weekly and thoroughly checked until I took the Texas plates off and had MN plates. Ever since then I haven't been pulled over for b/s and never a hassle when I have been stopped for non b/s reasons.</p>

If there is dirt on the window it will read as being darker than it really is.</p>

I got tired of rolling the windows down to see if cars were coming.</p>
<p dir="auto">On the BMW i had 35%, 50% on the windshield... loved it.</p>
<p dir="auto">I got several tint tickets on the BMW, but mostly just cause they wanted to see if i was drunk I think</p>

<p dir="auto">It was just a theory.  At night the laser would be the only light and could be refracted/reflected.  I don't really care one way or the other because they can say whatever they want.</p>

<p dir="auto">I don't know, could be other factors like dirty vs. clean window, different meters, shady cop lieing about it.  Either way it was over the limit.</p>

<p dir="auto">I know that guy.. On a forum that's local to an area south of the cities, he posts a lot of his work.. He seems to be pretty good and charges reasonable..</p>
<p dir="auto">I have like 22% or that is what the meter read, only got 1 ticket but that was when I first went into IOWA, their Tint laws are like no darker than 70%..</p>
<p dir="auto">If you have like a white car, and dark tint, it'll be more noticeable compared to darker colored cars..</p>
