well i was there at both but took none at the track and only 100 at the car show.
was more into paying attention to things then taking pics.

nice to see and talk with you again dubsy.

now you see why itis tough to put pics up of local events. the bandwidth gets hammered and people want more for even less.

    anyways

i have not even looked at my pics yet. too busy with work and riding my bike. so i am pretty tired come evening and ready for bed. but the ride is worth it.

have not looked at your pics yet. will in time. no need in slamming you any more then you are already getting slammed.

itis so easy to take loads of pics in a hurry isn't it?
    i shoot with a 20d.

    anyways

I didn't get any. there were too damn many lights around it to take a picture.

That flash application your using for your gallery is very ineffecient... it pre-loads images before the user even specifices to do so...

If bandwidth were a problem, I would have used just static pages w/ the images loading only once the user clicked on them....

              I know.

It's temporary until I get time to sit down and write something.

Just wanted something so it wasn't overly simple for people to hijack my pictures.

Just disable hotlinking on the server side... It makes it so only users showing the referer from your URL can access your photos...

hate to bust your bubble but if they want the pic they will get the pic. albeit not high quality, but they can always screenshot the page. and at least get a web worthy version or email version. not able to print from it though.

just make them small enough in resolution with your copyright or proof over the top of it and call it good.
                  less hassles in my eyes.

                    oh that's a given...

but setting up that flash gallery that I've got now took all of a couple minutes (it's all dynamic, upload pictures and run a script and it's done). It was quick and easy so that's what I did for the time being...

gonna do it all with PHP I think. Need to write something from scratch, turning it into a senior project. (and I need a few more functions than on most galleries).

(picture makes them look a little dark)

They're printed out on a professional Fujifilm paper that's easily heavier than any poster you'll buy in a store. I can get them in glossy and lustre. Glossy is really quite glossy, lustre is about like a traditional photo (with the bit of an eggshell finish).

For those of you who have e-mailed me with interest in getting prints, I'll work on getting pictures together for you to look at - or if you're in town somewhere and are interested in checking out the prints before ordering, I can bring the laptop along and we can look at the pictures I've got for you.

I'll get a final price put up on my website soon (www.dubbsy.com)).
