How fast will YOU be in 2007?

Well to get things back on topic I'm hoping to get a saturday away from work just to make it to the track. Then I will try for some 60' under 2.4sec and break into the 15s @87mph. Completely stock on my Ga. After I accomplish that then the goal is to find a decent platform for a project.:icon_king:

Can we not all agree that those kinds of cars were designed and built to be economical, even the ones that are fast were engineered to be fast on a budget right. Sorry. S2000's, Evo's, STi's, WRX's, SRT4's, any of the Mazdaspeed cars, Supra's, 300zx's, etc... were designed to provide maximum performance in a small package, much like the Mustang, Cuda, GTO, Camaro, etc... of days past, and I think you'd be pretty hard pressed to call them "Econoboxes" for their time. An "Econobox" would more fit with anything Geo made, the Honda civics, Kia's, most Hyundai's, etc... I'd love to know how a $35k car can be considered an economy/budget car that is fast. $35k is a pretty serious chunk of change last I checked. But lets see...econo boxes normally (at least in my mind) come factory without Powersteering, Power locks, power windows, AC, CD players, sunroofs, awd, etc...
So please, don't tell me my car is an econobox.
