    not my car lol he has has a cheep boost gauge though. anyways with the set up he has now i thought a boost leak would be very possible and why did he change the bov? to make it louder of course :icon_geek:

      well, if there wasnt a leak before and you mess with stuff, then that could change that. and you have no idea if the mechanic he took it to could actually test it.

      PM me for:
      Sandblasting(I use glass beads)
      Diesel repairs or performance products.

          I would bet it has a somewhat large boost leak. It fits the symptoms perfectly.

              I believe that the ECU requires the O2 sensor to switch between .7 or whatever and 0 otherwise it will set a code

                with the test pipe the check engine light was on..then i cleared it about 3 months ago and it hasent come on since.....but i need to find a stock cat for cheap first...because the test pipe doesnt do anything anyway..

                    The cat is not the root of your problems. From what Frank was saying you have your BOV duct taped on and you hacked up the stock plastic IC pipe to make it all fit up. For starters, fix that setup right and move on from there.

                      not the downstream 02. the down stream 02 usually doesnt change its voltage much. it doesnt switch from 0-1 v like the upstream 02.

                                    ic you on newcelica jim lol, RadeonX... random. anyways, yes his current intake and bov setup is very ghetto didn't get a chance to check for any leaks today though, to busy working on zachs swap. how easy is it going to be to tell if there is a leak, need any tools or is it just run your hand over the piping and feel for air?

                                      You should be able to hear it. Also if you have a regulator and gauge setup you should be able to turn off the valve and see if it holds 10 or 15psi.
