Races in West Fargo Tonight

Going with my family to watch my brother race. That and drink beer, lots of delicious beer.

i can pretty much watch them from my house :)....well i can hear them really good...cant hardly see them though...

My brother got tangled up in the feature and crashed into the gate on the back straightaway. Damage wasn't horrible, but took him out for the night. Was pretty cool watching Laske come from 13th to finish 2nd in the mini mod feature though. Was a good time, well 156+ ounces of beer helped things a bit but it's all relative.

Nope. Circle track racing in North Dakota has been a big part of my family's past time for over 40 years now. My dad has won a shit ton of track championships over the years and after a very long hiatus from racing came back to place 2nd in the nation in points in his class back to back before retiring from racing when my mom was diagnosed with cancer. My brother was 2nd in points in West Fargo in his class last year in his first year back after not racing for over a decade on a regular basis.

Joe dad's name is Dick Schulz. I don't remember if he ever raced in WF. He wouldn't when he was racing all over hell because he hated the wall there. He mostly raced in Bismarck, Mandan, and Minot. I also remember him racing in Jamestown, Williston, Rugby, and a few other places once in awhile.

So I'm guessing Rick is your brother? Been going out there since I was born, seriously five months old I had the dirt track bug. I'll be out there in a couple weeks minor stuff left on the car to do.

Anyone going tonight? Our motor still isn't done so I'll be in the stands should be a good night to cool down with some Bud Light. That's right no more crappy Miller products in the beer gardens.
