So I take it they passed the law allowing seat belt violations to be a primary/pull over-able offense in Fargo/Cass? If they didn't and he said that's the reason he pulled you over then you could get out of it probably. Otherwise I don't believe they are a moving violation...

seatbelt ticket isnt a moving violation, shouldnt affect your insurance and u have a MN drivers license so you don't have points. anything more than 5 offenses in 24 months will net you a loss of your license for 30 days.

        no race car? becuz homeowner...

Yup wouldn't worry bout seatbelt ticket. I've had my share, and many other peoples shares. Didn't affect Mn license or insurance.

Its kind of one of those tickets that they are just looking to get you pulled over and then see if there is anything else they can get you with.

That's what I was wondering too. I knew they couldn't pull you over JUST for not having a seatbelt.

well there was. he told me he let the no front license plate thing go which would've been another 60 bucks. so it couldve been worse. but still kinda gay to get nabbed on the slowest moving street in fargo right infront of where you were heading

stupid license plate laws....but yeah, that is the only reason they were able to pull you over. Still secondary offense in ND http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/outreach/state_laws-belts04/safeylaws-states.htm

So, moral of the story: mount your front license plate, and wear your seatbelt?

End of the month isn't necessarily end of the calendar month. It's different for each officer...at least in Moorhead that is.

                          meh who knows.

kind of lame for it to happen though. especially on the slowest moving street in fargo when theres far worse shit going on infront of him.
