Anybody familiar with Aakers?

I've heard it's hard to transfer classes to msum or ndsu. I went to MSCTC and it was alright. Everything transferred to MSUM. Cost will be less, but maybe aakers has a better program since it is more of a business school.

i would also suggest msctc over that but its your choice the smaller school could be a nice thing to if you like that kind of thing

i heard that if you want to go for business management or anything related. not to go to aakers because there certification is pretty much only for a small peddly business...but then again thats all i've heard
Same here. Plus I heard it was overpriced and you couldn't transfer most credits to a larger school.

I think they may be close to having that taken care of so that you can.

I would bet that someone that has a BA in business or a MBA from a 4 year college (NDSU, U of M) would get hired over someone that went to Aakers. My uncle went to Duke for an international MBA, I guarentee you he'd get hired over anyone that went to or would ever go to Aakers.... I went to MSCTC-Fergus Falls and transferred to NDSU after I got my AA, and it's something i'd recommend for other's to do. Just make sure you take all the right classes for the first 2 years of generals...I had a problem with not having all the right classes when I transferred.

That is very true though.

A degree doesn't mean you're smart, it means you're able to learn well...
Basically the college you get the degree from tells them how easy you learn difficult material (Havard material is more difficult than NDSU which is more difficult than MSCTC and so on).

Im going to be going to aakers for network administration (AAS) in october. I looked at MSCTC and aakers. Aakers was a little more expensive but the way they have the classes and things set up seems like it would work better for me. A friend of mine completed the same course and from his experience it fully prepares you for A+, Cisco, MCP, MCSE, and other certifications. From what he said it's a pretty difficult course and is nothing like a 'i want to learn about computers' type thing. I'm pretty pumped about it. Also, when I tried to get with someone from MSCTC they were as helpfull as a stick of butter in the desert. I understand that they are a bigger school, but they could at least make it seem like they give a shit whether you go there or not. my .02

Im not a dick at all actually. I can come off that way, but I just like to give the n/t and 2g guys hell. Im all about the 1g AWD. It is a nice car though...except the wing. I had a huge ricer wing on my old 1g, ick.

off topic:
ya the wing is pretty silly, I give him hell about it too. whats the takeoff speed, etc. then again he calls the stock wing on my gsx a picnic table so whatever I guess. truth be told, I have eaten lunch off it. It's going to be hell trying not to spend student loan money on mods.

not to bash aakers or anything. But my dad is an admissions rep there. I was going to go there for network administration. but found out through him and the proffesser that teaches the networking stuff there. To take it through NDSCS at the skills center. You have to add a few classes to the program they have set up(math and english) to get an aas degree out of it.
