Need a 88-9x KA24E from a D21 Hardbody truck. Need the complete motor with accessories if possible. Motor does not need to run but needs to be rebuildable. Willing to purchase a truck if needed.

Also need a KA24E wiring harness and ECU from 88-9x 240sx with MT.

And if someone knows of or if SLS can make a manifold for mounting a Mitsu turbo to a KA24E. I may consider Garrett style but, im looking at using what I have ftm.

And yes...this is for a swap...but im not telling for what.

SLS can make parts. He made my KA stuff, but is going to need what ever it is there to be sure stuff fits properly

Do you want the 240sx stuff for a 240? or for the truck? if for a nissan truck you will need all of the 240sx KA stuff for it to work right.

Also, IMO, look for a 240sx drive train over the truck if you are doing any sort of mods. the 240sx SOHC motor is way less complicated. The actuall ka24e from a truck isnt stronger or anything its just a mess of wierdness from the SOHC and DOHC 240s.

I should have the 240sx SOHC intake mani with sensors, and TB, wiring harness and 5-speed ecu. all s13 240sx lower harnesses are the same either SOHC or DOHC, I might have one.

I know all these parts over and over. If you tell me what you are doing, i can help you find the right parts and all that stuff.

Also, why not use a DOHC KA? better flowing head, more available part, better bottom end. and since you said turbo. There is WAY more choices for engine management

I am probably the only person on this site with the parts you are looking for.

I'll get a list of what i have for parts that you somewhat requested. Do you need the SOHC s13 AC system? I know i had it, but might have tossed it this weekend, dont remember. It can be pulled out of the trash

        Well....we'll put it this way....

1982 Datsun 4x4 KK. The Naps Z 2.2 has to go....way to much vac. line, too little power and I really dont like carbs that much anymore...especially one with 50 vac. lines.

KA24E is an easy swap since the D21 Hardbody used almost an indentical chassis. And they actually used the same Z24 when the D21 appeared. And the KA24E shares the same block.....mostly. So the block basically drops right in. Even the sumps and oil pans work well.

Also....I want a strong low-end/midrange puller for offroading. And the curves of the SOHC are much nicer for my plans. A simple 14b/16g with pistons, rods and supporting items along with a 2.4L should make for a very early spooling turbo with tons of torque. Im looking for much here, just over 200hp/200ft lbs with a very strong and flat torque curve. So, no need for a radical built motor...heck...I dont really plan on rev'n over 6k. I never go over 3500 with the Z22.

As for the 240sx gear....according to the 720 guys, the intake is a much cleaner fit under the hood since the TBI intake from the truck would hit the hood. Plus, the 240 intake is a bit easier to route for turbocharging. And since I have to use the intake, TB and fuel rail....I need the harness and ECU to match. It's not really hard honestly...I just need to find a dam motor that someone either doesn't want or doesn't run....both of which are proving to be difficult.

Oh....and I already have the 240sx (SOHC) intake, tb and fuel rail, etc.

Hope that helps with why the engine choice....oh, and the 240sx block doesn't match my mounts like the truck block does. I can however, use the 240sx tranny.....might consider that. But, granny gear does wonders for pulling overgrown Chevy's and Fords from the muck.

didnt think about that, I have scene people put the ka24de in there d21, i guess they may have used custom motor mounts. I would suggest trying to add the KA24DE oil squirters, they help prevent the bearing from going which is common on the SOHC motors. Ya, I also wouldnt really want to rev the KAe that high, You may beable to find a cam that move the power band down low, not really sure.

Check out KA-T.org lots of parts, and there are people with turboed d21s and SOHC KAs also

I'll look what I got for parts at the shop tonight. I i do not have them, I probably know some people from your area that do.

Thanks, and yes...there are actually 2 4x4 grinds for the SOHC.

And since I plan on running aftermarket pistons...im skipping the squirters. There effects are minimal at best and I would rather have the oil pressure.

And I have been on KA-T.org, but it seems no one really cares about a ol' 720 Datsun with a SOHC KA swap and turbo.... At least not until the snow hits and they get stuck...

            🙂

lol, the majority of ka-t is 240sxs. Have you posted anything up about the project you are going to do on there?

our next project is possibly going to be a built ka24det datsun 510:)

I have the ecu and wiring harness. There is one thing about it, but you would need to mess with it to work on your application, I guess depends on what you are doing for that. The connector that goes to the gauge clusters is removed(not cut, it was actaully depinned)
