Mr Hole, first you ask what's the correct to believe and then you tell us that you "will not be told what to believe"?

I don't think there has been any judging going on, even in this thread. Tell me if I am wrong. What a Christian is suppose to do is not judge, but rather tell people who don't believe, the good new about Christ and hope that it brings them to him. It's up to you and everyone else from there.

LOL now someone point to the verse that says that this is a sin. :icon_geek:

Ok...I'm in so here we go. I'm not trying to be a prick, I just want honest straight up answers from the believers in this thread.

Is it possible that the devout Catholic, Adolph Hitler, could be in heaven if he had truly repented prior to his death?

Why was little or no faith needed to believe in god during Old Testament times (god appeared to humans regularly) yet today christians have to rely on 100% faith for their belief?

How would you prove that your god exists - without using arguments that someone from another religion would use to prove their god exists, and without reference to the Bible?

Why is your god the only valid god?

If Christ did come back to earth, what would be your minimum requirement for proof of his authenticity?

Why does most of the Old Testament teach that there is no afterlife (see
Ecclesiastes 9:5-6, for example), while later Old Testament writings and the
        New Testament do?

Why wasn't there a 40-year period in Egypt's history when the whole land was
devoid of people and animals, as prophesied by Ezekiel (Ezekiel 29:11-12)?

Why is the Old Testament and most of the New Testament addressed only to
free men, and not to women or slaves? Does God deal only with free males?

I have many more but until later I will leave everyone with this...

If I'm wrong, you can sing the "I told you so" song for eternity as I writhe in the fires of Hell. If I'm right, when we die we both cease to exist and I never get to sing the "I told you so" song. Not even once. That sucks.

Putting religion aside. (being Catholic has nothing to do with going to heaven or hell) I believe that Christs blood covers ALL sin. In God's eyes there is no lesser or greater sin. If Hilter truly was repentent for what he did and accepted Christs blood to cover his sin, then yes...Hilter is in heaven.

They had to have faith in the Old Testament, but they were under the "old convenant", whereby they had to sacrifice animals all the time for their sin etc. When Christ was born, died and rose, that was the final sacrifice for all sin, past, present and future. That is the "new" convenant. The one thing we have to do to have everylasting life and the forgiveness of sin is to accept what Christ did on the cross and to give him your life. The people in the Old Testament had God's visual presenance by fire and cloud and all the miracles and still kept on sinning. It wouldn't matter today if Christ himself would come...people would still choose not to believe.

Regards to your question on Egypt. I believe that the chronology of Egypt has been misinterpreted. If you bring the chronology to centuries then that brings the 12th dynasty of Egypt around when Moses lived. It goes in more detail on the link above.

Check out the website below. It goes into great detail about alot of the question you have above and probably alot of questions you have and didn't ask. I'd would just butcher it up.

I "think" that when I'm dead, I'm dead. I will be buried I'm sure then I will sit in the earth and decompose.

Now as to answer the question as to why I have my doubts. Look how many different alignments of the Christian faith there is not to mention, all the other religions in the world today. And I'm not talking about the cult shit, real religions.... Take Buddhism, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, etc. **You guys tell me......**Which one is right? What makes one more "real" or "true" than the other? And how do I or you choose which one that I should to belive in? And when I choose, who am I to pick and choose which one is correct? The Christian faith is the real whopper to me. Theres soo many options and versions saying "Their way is the only true way to life everlasting in heaven". That's what leaves me sceptical. and until I get some concrete evidence, that's how I will stay. At least for now.

I will choose my way of beliefs for myself. I WILL NOT be told what to believe. I will also not tell anyone else how or what to believe either. I will not think less of any person based on their beliefs (whether I agree with them or not) and I expect the same. I have some very devout Christians as friends along with a couple of pagans, Islamics, and Jehova witnesses as well. I could give two shits about what and how they believe. If it works for them, great.

Dont judge me based on my beliefs and I will return the favor. This is especially aimed at any true Christian. They are supposed to be taught not to judge but to let God and God only be the one to pass judgement.

          /RANT!

Oh and for the Christians... Everytime you "rub one out"... Your sinning.

Let me ask you this. I consider you my friend. If I saw you driving blindly toward a disaster unbenownst to you, and I wouldn't warn you, then what kind of friend would I be? I want all of my friends/ family to be in heaven someday with me. By keeping my faith to myself does nothing to accomplish that. I believe the best way for a Christian to share their faith with one another is to live their life by example. Unfortunately alot of Christians fall short in that aspect....myself included, and constantly try to do better each day.

          Wes....I love ya man!! 🙂

(judging one another only applies to a believer judging a believer...not a believer judging a non believer)

There is nothing in Bible that says that masterbating is wrong per say, but if you visualize having sex with someone in your mind while doing it then it is a sin!!

I live in a very religious community and unfortunately see alot of the judging going on. I'm surrounded everywhere by Christian beliefs (in the courts, on our currency, etc.) and have absolutley no problem with haveing it where it is. But, to have so many "believers" say how sorry they feel for me because I don't believe in god really gets under my skin. I'm done now.

Ya, Fergus is like that, however most of the people that do the judging are hypocrites and they're the ones that I talk about that go to church just to be seen there by everyone else. When in reality they're the ones that are furthest away from following their religion. I think god would rather have someone not go to church all the time and follow his word than to go to church and act the total opposite. It says in the bible that god looks down upon people using religion in public basically for attention...and that's what I believe a lot of the people back home do by going to church, which is why I prefer not to go when i'm there...

And why do so many "Christians" not live their life according to the Bible. It is the word of Christ, right?

Christian is a very watered down word. Most people claiming to be christians are not. So true christians do live according to the bible.

Of course I make mistakes. But grace picks me up every time. It's a realationship with my heavenly father.

Back on topic. Like I thought, when asked about personal things, most "Christians" will back away from the table, and not "represent" their religion. Wonder why that is?

We'll have to see how this summer goes. Ethan's going to get his ass handed to him at the track and now the street too. 😮 Oh yeah..street racing is illegal..and since I'm a Christian, that wouldn't be a good example to my unbelieving friend Ethan. 🙂

The only person you should pattern your life after is Christ, since he is the only one who represented the perfect Christian life. I can only pray and hope to be like Christ and it is only with his help that I can even come close. We have a sin nature and it is a constant battle to be Christ like....or a "Christian". Plain ole humans will let you down every time if you put your faith in one of them.

I think the number one threat to "Religion" is the "Church". If you actually sat down and looked at it, many things the Church/high religious authorities do or say are contradictory to God's word. Any church that hates homosexuals or anything like that is a hypocritical institution I believe. If they TRUELY followed God's word they'd leave the judgments to him and do everything they could to help people follow God and be saved.

I think this is a big reason there is a fairly strong anti-religion movement lately. The church is becoming oppressive again it seems and is really doing a good job at turning people away from morality and anything even remotely religious in nature. Pretty sad if you ask me...

In what way is the church oppressing you? Disapproving of a life style such as homosexuality is not the same as oppressing.

What christian church is turning people alway from morality?

Those religious "leaders", the ones you may be listening to every Sunday, are child molesters. It could be your pastor.

Let me guess, as long as they are truly sorry, they'll go to "heaven".

If that's true, I don't wanna go there(a place that accepts child molesters).

                                        Using your logic...

Some fathers have molested children. It could be your father...

Man, where do i find out which gas stations and grocery stores don't serve child molesters? I wan't to make sure I don't do business there.. gas that's good enough for child molesters isn't good enough for me. And produce? No way!

On earth, it may make sense to convince yourself that you're so much better than "child molesters". To God, sin is sin. An unsaved "normal guy" and an unsaved child molester can have a grand old time arguing who gets to sit in the front row on the big bus heading towards damnation.

What won't change is that they're on the same bus.

If you meet anyone that you think behaves "well enough" to be a "real christian" -- you're wrong (unless you've met Jesus and aren't spreading the love). This doesn't excuse habitual unrepentant sinners, who appear to be Christian in name only (only God knows the heart of a man), but it's important to stress the point that nobody behaves "good enough" to meet the standard of admission for heaven. No one may enter via their own righteousness. It is Just for God to send us all to hell.

But his compassion allows him to forgive us, if only we can be humble enough to truly ask for it.
