SHOTS FIRED in Moorhead, Police Shootout

I live in a nice part of town and my house is forsale if anyone is interested.
(I'm moving 5 blocks. Different house came up for sale that "made us move" to get it)
We did have some garage break-ins 2 summers ago but mine was unlocked that night and it was after I tore my old fence out but before I put my new fence up
They stole the radio out of my track car (thanks! I saved 3lbs with your mod!), and I think maybe a screwdriver out of my toolchest (which they used to break into more stuff down the street). -

LOL!!! You think this is bad crime in this city? You missed the early 90's in Moorhead. That was a REAL problem. You must have come from an eskimo village or something because robbery, kidnapping, homicides, etc are all pretty much a given in a metro area of this size.

A girl i know was driving home from work, driving right by those Meadow's Apartments. She got stopped, then started getting waved through. Right as she starts moving the cops jump out of their cars and pull out their guns. She stops and then shots start getting fired at the cops and they return fire. Eventually the cops went running after the guy and she took off. She called me in a fit and I had to decipher what happened and make sure she was ok. She calmed down when she got home.
Messed up stuff... and to think ill be moving to North Minneapolis for the summer.

I've had three friends killed over the course of the last 4 years over bullshit arguments caused by ex-girlfriends down here.
Lord knows how many friends of mine have had stuff stolen out of the car or garage.
Fargo is pretty chill.

Hell my moms boyfriends friend went through a taco bell back in 96-97 in downtown phoenix and was shot just for looking at the teller rong..... No thats just plan retarded. As weel as the 7 year old kid that was going to the NBA playoffs and was shot for wearing a red bulls jersey.

The guy was the same guy who was arrested for having a fake gun on the downtown NDSU campus. He just got out of jail the day he did all this by the sounds of it...except it was a real gun this time.

The story I got from the guys who were there is that he kidnapped the girl, brought her behind Mac's to rape her. She somehow got away from him and ran to the back door of the store and started banging on it trying to get in. The two guys there KC and Greg let her in and he followed, he started pushing Greg, no gun was evident, when Greg started going WTF that when he pulled the gun. Our stores have floor safes and he bent over to get the cash and the chick booted him in the face, so he tackled her then pistol whipped her a couple of times then saw that the cops were coming and took off. On a side note they hit the panic button, and the cops were there before the security company called to ask if everything was OK.

Yea this guy got out of jail last week for the NDSU downtown incident and was held captive for 9 years in St. Cloud.
Needless to say he'll have a lot of time to think about it..but i was readin this article about prisoners, and some are just so accustomed to that type of lifestyle, that getting freed isnt necessarily the best option for them, so theyll do something intentional to try to go back to jail
