Im not gonna lie, if you want to see this (me) grown ass man scream like a girl, show me that spider. I feel for you man. It may be worth it for you to call around to an exterminator quote. It would be worth $500 to me to not see those things around anymore.

    Best of luck...

Yeah we have a couple of those too, but they don't work here. This one we found today was less than ten feet from one.

The funny thing is, I keep an Airsoft gun next to the bed and I've shot quite a few already since I can't usually get close enough to squish them.

Thanks, Chuck. I'll show that to them and see what they think.

I would probably shit myself if I had one of those near me. I hate spiders...which is wierd because I love tarantulas(as long as they are caged). Spiders=ICK.

                  I wanna go fast!

go buy some tempo... mix it.. spray it outside allover the exterior of the house.... should help quite a bit.... if you have a basement, you should spray it down there also..

those spiders (pictured) are both pretty harmless. creepy as shit, sure, but harmless.

i used to live in the basement of my building - moved upstairs because of humidity and fucking mildew - but used to keep a quart container dubbed "the arena" for catching spiders, bugs, flies, and HOUSE CENTIPEDES - look them up, they're way fucking creepier than spiders - and letting them eat each other. I've only seen one centipede upstairs here.. and it was one i tracked in on the bottom of my shoe after a trip to the basement. still disgusting, though, even visibly deceased.

good luck getting rid of them.. they're just another creature trying to make a living in your space. Management company tried traps, glue, bombs, electronic shit, none of it worked for the neighbor.. I just lived with it and the little bastards battled it out for my entertainment when I caught them. Unlike the thunderdome.. in the arena.. two bugs enter, no bugs leave. Haven't had to use the thing for almost six months. Time to move to a bug-free environment.. it's the only real way around finding those little bastards.

Try keeping your place cleaner. Centipedes and spiders are there because there are other bugs to be eaten.

my place? clean? impossible. however - I've been in this place since september last year, no bugs, same shitty housekeeper. actually there's one less housekeeper here than there was usually in the last place.

the bugs were there because it was a drafty, leaky basement with cracks in the walls and gaps in the doors. Old building.

i doubt tidiness makes bugs run away. Filth, though, totally understand why bugs would be attracted to filth, and spiders to bugs.. though i'm pretty sure centipedes were sent here -plain and simple - as harbingers of creepy. I don't know what the hell else they do.

                                pictures! 1 2 3

I found the best way to get rid of them (centipedes or spiders) was actually using an old boot. Not a paper towel, or an old sock, or any of that crap. Trying to squish the centipedes on the wall with a paper towel usually led to them JUMPING AT YOU (well.. it looks like it.. seriously) or GREASY STAINS - not good for the paint.

                                So - back on topic!

The old boot method involves two things:

One: stop being a pussy, and get up close to the spiders.
Two: squish those fuckers with an old boot. You don't care if it's got spider guts on it because it's old. They don't care it's an old boot because they're fucking dead.
