Fires out now.. Havent heard if any injuries or deaths, but the fire is out... so thats good i guess.

The building is pretty much done for, I live two buildings away from it, and the entire roof is caved in, and I'm sure the rest of the building is wrecked from all the water damage. I wonder how many of the people that live there don't have rental insurance? As for anyone getting hurt, I haven't heard anything. I'm just glad I'm moving away from this neighborhood in 2 weeks. Woot!

I watched the fire for about an hour, it was a stubborn fire, kept jumping and relighting. as for renters ins, i talked with a firefighter and a goldmark employee, sadly only two people had insurance! and what the fire didnt destroy, the water finished. they say the building is still structuraly sound, the goldmark employee and the firefighter both told me it will be restored/rebuilt.

As with anything like this you can't help but feel bad for the people involved, as far as I know nobody was hurt.

I haven't heard anything yet.. But I have a feeling it was probably some sort of electrical problem. Who knows though.. Until they investigate it, we won't know what really did.

You should. It's usually dirt cheap. I think we used to pay like $50 every 6 months.

They just said something about it might have been a faulty outlet on 3rd floor.

I paid $6/month for renters insurance when I had it... it's too cheap to not have.

If you can swing it, it would probably be advisable to pick up renter's insurance. Crazy shit happens (as shown).
