Fast Food Experience

Now for a different spin on the subject. When i worked for Outback Steakhouse people would still come in 10-15 min before close and eat. That pissed me off cuz as you all know its NOT fast food. It takes some time to make that kind of food. A full meal vs a burger and fries....... and they take the full meal? Wheres the common courtsy there?Exactly. It's always people that come in and want the shit that will dirty up your grills more than anything else. There's nothing that pisses me off more than a table who walks in 5 minutes before close, just after I finished cleaning the line - including the grills, egg pans, etc - and they order a combination of burgers, sandwiches, and breakfast. The walk in 5 minutes to close, don't order until after close, then sit there and yap for a half hour after they've finished eating. Not only do I have to re-clean the line, but I have to wait for them to leave so I can wash their fucking dishes before I go. I could understand some fryer shit like fries, chicken strips, mozzarella sticks, etc. Not a full fucking meal.
Come in more than a half hour before close, and I'll probably make you better food than anyone else there could. Anything after that is another story. You don't piss off the people who make your food. The movie Waiting really is based on true events.

If you dont want to serve food past a certain time advertise it that way then, dont be dicks about it because some one comes in 20 minutes until you advertise stopping serving food. If its such a big deal change the times you serve food until.

For what?Is that sarcasm or have you just not seen that movie? If it's the latter, you need to see it.

When I used to work at McD's we would hold food for awhile around close..basically anything but burger patties, which would explain why your food tasted old and cold. Everything else takes a minimum of 4 minutes to cook, some upwards of 7 minutes. If you think it sucks having to wait for 4-7 minutes for food imagine how much it sucks having to hear people bitch about waiting that long rather than us just serving them the shit-tastic old food that we could serve. It went both ways...serve them old food and have them hate it, serve them fresh food and have them bitch that they had to wait 4 min. Believe me, at that time of night rarely was anyone courteous enough to wait a whopping 4 minutes for fresh food...

I worked at Taco Bell for like a year and half, trust me the last fucking hour is the worst (especially at taco bell) becuase all of the drunk people come in...
what a fucking clusterfuck that was... ahh fast food, never again; but I did buy my first car working there.

A few years back i went to WENDYs ordered, 2 jr bacon burgers, 6 piece nugget and a med drink. Well i got my food parked in the parking lot. Opened the bag pulled ou the nuggets and one of them was half eaten??????? WTF?!?!?!?! I didnt even bother with the burgers, i went in asked for the manager, everyone else couldnt speak english besides 2 people the manager and one cook. The manager, when i told him this and showed him looked like he didnt believe me. Im sorry but im not gonna lie about someone taking a bite out of my food!!!! Well he went around asking if anyone did it, no answer. He offered to make me my food in front of me and refund my money. I agreed. That was very nice and all but still just the fact of someone doing that....ewwwwww. Needless to say when i go through the 13th ave WENDYs i dont order nuggets anymore......
I suggest you all do the same

^^^And there slower than molasses in January too.
But I still get a hunger for a baconator once in a while so I'm willing to wait.

I suggest that once you are in a position where you can afford to avoid fast food, you do so.

Didn't mythbusters do something on this?

We went to apple bees. They told us we had to order with in 5min cause they stopped accepting food orders 30min before they close so that you are out of there by closing time.I work at the Applebees in West Fargo and I've had to cook well done steaks at 12 when we close at 12, but I do it because its my job and we're open until 12. For you people that mess with peoples food it is a felony.

The movie 'Waiting' hit so many key points in the food service industry. Some of it may have been a little extreme, but I'm sure most can relate. For example, the almost closing time with a customer coming in. Common courtesy should always be considered when going in for food. If you go to McD's at 11:55 when they close at midinight, probably expect some cold food, or food that was under a heat lamp. But workers shouldn't expect to start cleaning up before closing... (i.e., shutting down grills, etc. ) I am sure some stuff is acceptable, but, you may only make things worse. I'm sure a lot of workers have a routine where somethings can be cleaned up or shut down before others in case of a customer coming in last minute.
Rule of thumb.. Restaurant, order by 1/2 hr before close, Fast-Food 15 minutes before close.

If any customer comes into my restaurant right before close, I do bad things to their food. It's common courtesy not to come in and eat less than a half hour before close.
So, if I happen to get off work 1/2 hour before you do and want to have something to eat at your restaurant that is still open as stated by the hours of operation on the door, you feel that you have the right to fuck with my food because I'm inconveniencing you?!?! How about if the roles are reversed and I get called out to an refill a kitchen hood system (Ansul System) 1/2 hour before my work is over for the day. Do I get to fill the Ansul system with with water instead of chemical fire suppressant? I mean, jeez, what a fucking inconvenience you are causing me to go through! Besides, it's just a little water on a grease fire, what's the worst that can happen?

i try not to eat fast food, i only like McChickens and i always seem to find a good sized chunk of fat or a beak or some shit in it. 8/10 McChicks will have something unwanted in it, guaranteed

McD's makes the best fast food chicken sangwich as far as I'm concerned.
But there southern chicken with pickles and a buttered bun.....not so much.If you saw what went into a hotdog you'd probably not want to eat those ever again. I had the privilege to see that first hand.

Ick, IMO McDonalds has by far the WORST chicken sandwiches, regardless of what one you order.
As for hotdogs, thats why it's worth it to spend a bit extra and get some premium ones, unless they are fundogs, right GSR?
