I would like to invite any other club to post a list of participants.
Talk to TM on that one....they supplied us with numbers of registered vehicles per group. You are right in that GA had 16 cars registered, but I am uncertain as to what your numbers were (aside from what you posted, which seemed accurate to me in hindsight). I can't answer beyond that.

If the criteria for the judges is the same there really shoulded be any issues. Sure there will be some bias but that is the reason for three judges. I guess I should have put my projector TV in the trunk and opened the shoot for a screen. That would have been cool...

But I had to bribe the judges $1,000 each.Anyways, that surprised the shit out of me... I would like to see what the judging criteria is on all awards.
On the best engine bay...went to the car w/ the most bad-ass engine. Turns out your HP numbers are higher than anyone else at the show, so you won.

I don't think I would ever want to be a judge in a car show.Honestly, it's not the easiest job in the world. You have 150 cars entered which means that if you start judging at 3:30, you only have 2 minutes per car (300 minutes total...including walking time between cars) to judge them. Yes, things get overlooked, which is why having a decent display board is essential for the judges...so is having your hood and trunk open....we didn't open anything that wasn't open for us already....so if your mod list said "custom fiberglass enclosure wrapped in carbon-kevlar" but you didn't open the trunk for me to look at it...you did NOT get any extra points for the custom work, just for the equipment listed....you also didn't get full points if you had an amp & sub that didn't have power wires going to them as obviously it was merely a prop.....there were several cars that tried that trick.
Basically, I've never hidden the fact that I judged this show and I welcome the criticism of my judging as it only helps ME become better at this...but be forewarned that if you ask why your car didn't win, I might but just as critical of you as you were with me. Now (patting myself on the back here) I feel I do as good of job as I possibly can, and apparently others feel I judge fairly and accurately as this was my 2nd time judging P10 and I have also judged car shows such as Driven to Perform in Winnipeg this year.

The 16 I counted was OUR count using GSR's method of counting 2 bikes as 1 "participating" vehicle. Would someone list the "16" that GA had?I don't want to get into this pissing match Ethan. That award was decided by TM, and not the judges (EDIT: though we had the right to veto it I believe). We were told it was based on entries....maybe it was entries +trophies won... I don't know. My understanding was entries only, but if that is the case you have a legit argument.

This is why I stick to racing. No judging just numbers. Not saying anyone judged wrong. Someone will always have a different opinion. But car shows are fun none the less.

And, to be clear, this is NOT a pissing match. GA won, end of story. All I have done is ask questions and give facts. If PP would like to win this award, we need to know what we need to improve on for '09.

This is contradictory to EVERYTHING I have been told.I don't know how to respond on that one. The indication that I got in the judges meeting was that GA had the largest club in attendance and won based on that....I dunno, but I know we didn't talk about this for more than 30 seconds as it seemed clear based on the info we had given. It seems to me like this will be an issue that TM will have to sort out for next year to have a more clear guideline. It is a learning experience for everyone...participants, judges, spectators, tintmasters, etc.. All we can do is hope that any mistakes/concerns are corrected going forward. I just hope that no one thinks any of this is personal, as it wasn't...if it were, Veritas would have walked out with the best team award :icon_jokercolor:
At this time, I have no answer on how you can do better and win that award next year. Shitty answer, I know, but it is the truth.

We've all had stuff done on our cars by Tintmasters...what I'm getting at is that Tintmasters is the last player in town as far as customizing local cars on a daily basis...
