If you're being sarcastic, that's not what I'm saying. It just gets so damn old hearing people bash motorcyclists because some decide to drive like idiots. Do you know how many people don't see bikes coming down the street? Too many. Riders do have to drive defensively because of all of the drivers that decide to not take the time to check their mirrors and look around.
This guy for instance. What if he had never done a wheelie? Would people still be making such a fuss over the issue? Probably not. Whether he was on one wheel or two, the girl pulled out in front of him because she did not look before she pulled out into the road. That, or because she's an inexperienced driver, she couldn't judge how fast he was going and thought she had time to get across the road. I don't know how many times I have seen this happen or have had it done to me.

I think the bottom line is that EVERYONE needs to be more careful. Obviously, a bike is not going to win if it hits any car, regardless of how much it weighs. If the issue is that she was 15, well she had a driver's license. Maybe they need to up the age to get a license. We all need to watch for motorcycles and motorcyclists need to take their own precautions (which includes a helmet). It's too bad shit like this happens.

You all keep changing the damn situation. Who the hell walks in front of a bike doing a God damn wheelie for one?!? If you do...you're kind of asking for something bad to happen to you aren't you? Yeah, the bikers probably stupid for doing the wheelie, but you're probably even more stupid if you put yourself in front of it. It all comes down to paying attention to the situation around you. For BOTH parties.

              Hmm or explanation C...

He was going double the posted speed limit.... and she pulled out when he was a half a block away

I didn't change shit. You said the only person put in danger when a biker rides a wheelie is himself and that is ridiculous.

im sure we all know that intersection is a pain in the ass to make a left on. the girl was 15, with a friend which shows an inepxerianced driver with distractions on top of it. was the biker doing something reckless? yes we don't know how fast he was going yet and more then likely what happened was that the girl didn't see him or from lack of experience pulled out thinking she could make it. If i saw a bike doing a wheelie i wouldn't think to try and pull out in front and i highly doubt the biker would attempt a wheelie if he saw her pulling out.

If he was going double the speed limit, it's his fault, but you can't tell me you wouldn't notice if someone was going that fast. So...if she saw that he was going that fast and pulled out in front of him anyways...they're both at fault. And if the road is as busy at that time as someone mentioned, how would he have had the chance to speed that much?

I never said a biker ONLY puts himself in danger when he rides a wheelie. I just said they are the main person in danger because they're usually up against bigger vehicles. Yes, I suppose someone walking or riding a bike could get involved, but the chances are slim. If it were to happen, I'm sure the biker would pay the consequences.

the thing is no here has yet to say anything as bikers as a group. only things about this particular biker specifically. theres no reason why the girl should be criticized for driving escalade, it doesnt matter if she was in a 5500lb suv or a 1600lb geo the biker was doing a wheelie in rush hour traffic AND HIT HER.

this had nothing to do with "everyone knows someone whos done it" or "its not like you dont ever drive like an idiot" becuase this guy was doing something he obviously shouldnt have been doing, especially without a helmet! dont try and defend him in this particular case

This happening is most likely going to bring up the legal age to drive being changed and i'm sure we will also see enforcements in helmet laws. The legal age really should be 16 the 14 year old license age was mostly intended for farmers

There are separate laws for farmers. We had a guy in our school that got his license when he was 12 because he lived on a farm. He was the most popular guy in 7th grade!

Feel bad for both parties, but from what iv heard and what not i place the 'blame' on the stunta. Just makes me angry how almost every single freaking power ranger that rides around on their crotch rocket that i see drives like an asshat and fucks around. Then when something like this happens and people point that out, they get all defensive and cry about it. Happens everytime...

none the less, 14 is really stretching the legal age to drive
