Xbox rrod around 33%? Yep.
Xbox built-in wireless? Nope.
Xbox internet free? Nope.
Loud as shit? Yep.
Proprietary HD? Yep.
Huge, ugly external power supply? Yep.
1080p? Nope.
Upscales DVD? Not that I'm aware of.
Folding @ home/synergistic computing? Nope. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. The PS3's fatal flaw is a memory bottleneck but other than that, processing power is far superior to the 360. All-in-all, the notion that the PS3 is much more expensive than the 360 is totally overblown. When you actually compare the systems on a equal level, the cost is approximately equal.
Take it with a grain of salt I guess.

Sorry you've got your facts wrong man.
Propietary HD? Uhh NO? What is propietary High Def anyway? No such thing.
1080p? Yes
Upscales DVD? Yup
PS3 Games ? Two
Xbox 360 Games ? Million
Centralized quality assured online play? Yup
Folding @ Home? LOL who cares, my computer pwns a PS3 anyday in Folding$199 Xbox Cost with a 3 year RROD warranty
$399 Non Backwards Compatiblity PS3You've got to be kidding me about the Sony bullshit about the huge processing power that the PS3 has, its GPU is weaksauce, nobody gives a shit about CPU power becuase it doesn't matter.
If you really are too poor to care about paying the $5 a month for live, you should re-evaulate owning a current generation system, ask anybody with Live, the small price is well worth it.
Nobody gives a shit about BlueRay becuase nobody wants to go blow $30-40 on a disc that gains marginal quality. It's a sony gimmick that will never be anywhere near the market pentration of DVD's; Streaming media / Digital content delivery IS the future.
I've seen more and more PS3's failing as the lens's go out (I mean ALOT) in the past few months.
Look, I do this for a living; Xbox 360's have hardware problems, but MS is good about taknig them back and replacing them. Sony on the hand is not. PS3's fail ALOT, you just don't hear about it becuase nobody has one.
This generation console war is over, PS3 fanboys can go talk thier shit up some more, but the truth is, Xbox 360 > PS3

I believe he meant proprietary Hard Drive...
BUT...there is a way around that so you can hook up any external drive you'd like

So basically....you like your system and I like mine. Good?
But seriously, LOL @ the million to two games comment. You and I both know that a shitload of games are cross-platform. Companies almost have to nowadays to profit more. I wasn't bitching about Live being expensive, since it is affordable. I'm just saying it's nice that Sony keeps their internet "free." And the notion that their internet sucks is bunk too. The PSN registered base is now equal to Live's.
Blu-rays being $30-40 bucks? What are you smokin'? Check this site out from time to time.

Not to mention I never buy movies. Just rent 'em.Comparing a base Xbox versus a PS3 is BS too. Again, no Blu-ray drive and no built-in WIFI. I didn't know about the MS hard drive being swappable with an external, so I guess that's a plus. It's nice that Sony doesn't void your warranty for swapping out their Seagate for anything you want, tho. The PS3 I've owned and used for countless hours now works just as perfect as the day I opened it up knock on wood. I never had any of the problems mentioned with the original Playstation or PS2 either. I guess I'm lucky.

Considering the console is sooooo much more expensive and has all that "worthless" technology you mention, and the fact that it came out a year later, it's pretty amazing that the PS3 isn't too terribly far behind the 360 worldwide.

Obviously not smoking as good of shit as you are:
List prices for Bluray are between 30-45, obviously if you order things online you can get them cheaper, but either way nobody cares to use bluray.
PSN does not equal Live, in any shape or form (Sony counts PSP users as PSN users).
Your correct and that there are alot of cross platform games; most of which are 360 ports; so when your comparing systems, which platform has the most worthwhile platform exclusives? There's no comparision here.
Oh, and the Wii is a toy and you and I both know it doesn't touch either the 360 or the PS3 as an actual gaming system. And yes I've had every system.
It's ok, It's sort of stupid to argue over; You keep buying your PS3 games and Bluray Discs.
I'll keep streaming media and playing 360 exclusives

Point?

Rumor is: GOW and Mass Effect are coming to the PS3, just like the 360 lost Bioshock 1 & 2.

Enjoy sitting through either extremely long download times and/or constant buffering. I can get a Blu-ray from Netflix, too. Big deal. Again, arguing which games are better or which movies to watch is totally subjective. My argument is that, price- and power-wise, the PS3 is superior.
