Philips SHE 9500...you can pick em up on ebay for under $10 and they sound awesome in addition to being very comfortable.

They may be cheap but does the sound compare to the ones I mentioned above?

I spent a little over $100 on a set of Sony earbuds and they sound amazing.

You're not going to get a better quality speaker for your money than Bose, Shure, Sennheiser and even the high end Sony. Just try to find one of the companies top products on sale and you'll be set. Unless you have a need for critical listening in headphones, you'll be more than happy with some bose tri ports or nice Sonys like GSR. If you wanna be ballin get the Shure's. They have been making the best in ear headphones and monitors for years, but aren't they hella spendy like $200+ a pair of the E4 series?

I like the Shure and Skullcandy earbuds and am not a big fan of the Bose. I have not had the opportunity to listen to the Sennheiser or Sony ear buds, but based on what others have said, I would think they would perform very well.

The biggest thing for me was fit in ear and sound quality. I've always had a tough time using earbuds and could not even fit the factory ipod ear buds in my ear without them hurting. The nice part of the sony's is they had multiple silicon adapters to make the ear bud fit properly and comfortably.

Also interested in a pair of head phones. The ipod ear buds sound good but hurt after about 15 min in the ears.

I like the Acoustic Research ARE05's. Sennheiser is good stuff too.

the ones that came with my second ipod are the best ive ever had. Of course I dont think ive ever spent more than 3 bucks on a set.

I had an idea like that once. It was a "Jump To Conclusions" mat.
