I agree. I miss when they actually still played videos. Real World: Brooklyn is pretty good though.

MTV has been dead for years when it comes to playing videos. unless of course you like watching music videos at like 8 in the morning or whenever they used to play them.

My dad used to tape Friday Night Videos and Night Tracks back in the day. I need to find a way to get them onto my computer so I can upload them onto the net.
Ah yes, music videos recorded on VHS tapes, two relics from a better, happier time.

Doesn't MTV2 play videos? I think thats supposed to be more like the original channel...ie they still play(ed) Beavis and Butthead, Daria...etc

At first I did it for fun, then I realized I made the investment and had to do it!

MTV 2 was the dedicated music video channel for about a week, then they started with shows like Jackass and Punk'd. WTF!?!?!?!!??

They need to bring back "Headbangers Ball". Thats the only way I'd watch MTV again.

HB actually played that video once upon a time. Drumming like that was ground breaking back in the day.

                                          MTV pioneered music videos.

                                          Video killed the radio star.

                                          Then MTV killed the video.

                                          Now what?
