i love that this is "controversial".
Miss California seemed to do a fine job of representing the people of california, who overwhelmingly passed prop 8 and have voted that way on every occasion and in every poll.
So i don't see how the answer is controversial. I also didn't know anyone in california had a spine or an opinion.
Why a gay man is judging a contest of female beauty is a bit odd to begin with.

Good for her. She stood up for what she believed in. People need to stop shooting for the middle ground on these subjects just to keep everyone happy. I have more respect for people that shoot on the opposite side as i than those to try and be in the middle.

Fuck Perez Hilton! Why the fuck is he even considered a celebrity, let alone enough of a celebrity to judge such a long standing event like the Miss America Pageant? He's nothing more than some ass pirate that had a blog that outed other celebrities that were gay, that in itself is gay and ghey. Just looking at him makes me want to punch gay babies. Society nowadays is getting ridiculous, if you don't cater to the gays or minorities in some way your a gay-basher or a racist. Maybe us heterosexual people should start claiming staight-bashing.

I think the answer she gave was good, because it was what she believed. It may not of been what they wanted to hear, but I personally would of had one win that stood up to what she believed. I also think it was kind of funny in the fact that he said he wanted an answer that was more in the middle, and he felt that is what America wanted to hear. So I should be pissed at him for saying that cause who is he to say what I or other people wanted to hear. Also how does he know that it offend so many other people like him and their family. What I think happened was that since CA passed that law, and since he couldn't get married in CA. He viewed it as a way to get payback on CA for passing that.
