Turbo Cavalier?

Thought I saw and heard a Turbocharged Chevy Cavalier, 2 door, convertible, with a couple driving a long in it. I want to say, Yes, it was the solid color front bumper style, so slightly later model. Maybe not past 02 though, if that.
Anyone seen/heard of one? This was In moorhead.
I just figured it was interesting to find a crazy bastard who turbocharged a cavalier. I don't know why you would do it, unless it had a 2.4l Twin Cam, then maybe... Although they didn't have a limited slip option from the factory period, from what I remember.
Or, on the other hand, maybe I'm an idiot, and was hearing my own turbo spool. Although, it didn't sound a thing like my vaccum cleaner.
